The Department of rehabilitation medicine was established in 2004. In March 2009, it became one of the first batch of standardized training bases for general practitioners in Shenzhen. In November of the same year, it was rated as the key specialty of Nanshan District Health Bureau. In 2010, it became one of the first batch of standardized training bases for specialists in Shenzhen. In 2012, it was rated as the key clinical specialty in Guangdong Province (only 2 in Shenzhen). In 2017, it became the main base of standardized training for residents in China. In 2016, relying on the "medical and health three project" in Shenzhen, Professor Yan tiebin's team from Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hospital of Sun Yat sen University was introduced to actively carry out medical teaching and research cooperation, with a 5-year special funding amount of 10 million yuan. In 2018, it won the qualification of national clinical drug trial base (GCP), and in 2019, it was reevaluated as the key clinical specialty of Nanshan District. At present, there are 7 doctors, 19 therapists, 4 senior professional titles and 3 master's guides. They have undertaken more than 30 national, provincial and other scientific research projects, published more than 100 articles and more than 20 patents; There are 9 master's degree students and more than 20 undergraduate and junior college interns every year.

Characteristic diagnosis and treatment

1. In the early years, the Department used stem cell technology to treat nervous system diseases, which opened a precedent in the field of rehabilitation. The research on the safety of clinical application of stem cells and the research on the transformation of stem cells into neuron like cells in vivo are original contributions to this field and have great international influence.

2. In addition to the routine clinical business of stroke paralysis and bone and joint diseases, the diagnosis and treatment of dystonic diseases (hemifacial spasm, torticollis, limb spasm, etc.), the treatment of aphasia and dysphagia, as well as "winter disease treated in summer" and so on.

3. In the treatment of peripheral nerve injury, he has accumulated rich experience in rehabilitation evaluation and clinical rehabilitation treatment, and has published many articles on the evaluation and treatment of cranial nerve injury.

4. Early application of musculoskeletal ultrasound-guided local closure, botulinum toxin injection and other treatment, has been in the nervous system and musculoskeletal system disease ultrasound interventional therapy routine business.

Training treatment

Basic living allowance: during the training period, the allowance will be paid according to the standard of 6000 yuan / month for undergraduates, 7000 yuan / month for masters and 8500 yuan / month for doctors.

Other hospital level subsidies: according to the attendance and evaluation, 1000 yuan / month, 4000 yuan / half a year, a total of 20000 yuan / year.

Monthly performance: according to the implementation of hospital management measures, according to the training performance, medical qualification, assessment results, etc. during the training period, the resident training performance will be issued every month.
